Dionne A. Falconer, MHSc
Associate

Dionne facilitates processes that result in change in structures, policies, practices and cultures of organizations and community groups. These include sessions in organizational development, strategic and other forms of planning, diversity and equity, program and human resources management, and dispute resolution. She has extensive experience working in HIV/AIDS and the not-for-profit sector. She works both in Canada and internationally.

Betsy Kappel
Associate

Betsy is a principal of Kappel Ramji Consulting Group. She has extensive experience in organizational reviews, program evaluation, planning and development, needs assessing, training and facilitation, anti racist organizational change, and funding for voluntary sector agencies. She has comprehensive experience in women’s issues, issues related to equity and access for marginalised and vulnerable people including the elderly, people with developmental disabilities, the homeless and people with mental health and addiction problems. She has been involved with vulnerable individuals both as a service provider and consultant. She has also taught at the community college level.

Zubeida Ramji
Associate

Zubeida is a principal of Kappel Ramji Consulting Group. She has extensive planning, evaluation, management processes, policy research, organizational development, training, community needs assessment and planning, program development and evaluation and organizational development expertise in community based health and social service agencies. She was the founding Director of the Regional Women’s Health Centre at Women’s College hospital and has international development expertise as part of several institutional review teams for CIDA funded international projects. She brings a strong community based philosophy to her work as well as a firm grasp on issues related to access to services for marginalised groups including women, refugees, new immigrants and ethno-racial communities.

Kate Scowen, M.Sc., B.A.

Ms. Scowen has over ten years experience in the non-profit sector and is known for her expertise in program development. Her notable skills include strategic planning, program evaluation, needs assessment, board development, donor research and proposal writing. As a program manager at St. Stephen’s Community House, Ms. Scowen was actively involved in agency-wide planning and evaluation processes. She also led an intensive review of her department that involved community consultations and the development of a strategic plan. As the only staff member on the Board Nominations Committee, she played an integral role in ensuring that the Board composition reflected the needs and interests of the community.
